They keep the overview, understand enough to notice when something makes no sense, and know who to ask.<\/li>\n<li>Empathy is the most underrated skill in project management. Every team has its own culture. Anyone who cannot adapt their communication loses trust, and with it access to honest information.<\/li>\n<li>You need to know whether you were understood. A meeting the project manager leaves believing everything is clear, while no one in the room understood a thing, is a project in a quiet decline.<\/li>\n<li>Risk management means having solutions, not naming problems. Every risk needs an action, an owner and a path to resolution.<\/li>\n<li>Not every fight has to be won. Conceding three things that do not matter to hold the position on the one that does is a core skill of good project managers.<\/li>\n<li>Projects go over budget. Accept it early, plan for it honestly, and make it visible before it becomes a crisis.<\/li>\n<li>Experience cannot be certified. It provides a larger toolkit of solutions, better estimates, and the composure to stay effective when something unexpected happens.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p>Projects go over budget.
